“Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, Redesign, Recover, Repair”

Following the sustainability principles of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, Redesign, Recover, Repair”. It is correct that recycled polyester uses less energy than what is needed to make virgin polyester according to various studies a difference of 33% to 53% – so we save energy.

Advantages of recycled polyester:

– Using more recycled polyester reduces our dependence on petroleum as the raw material for our fabric needs.
– Diverting PET bottles for this process reduces landfill and consequently soil contamination, air and water pollution, and requires less energy than virgin polyester.
– Garments created from recycled polyester aim to be continuously recycled without any degradation of quality, allowing us to minimize wastage. As a consequence, polyester garment manufacture can potRecycentially become a closed loop system.

Carbon footprint

Another crucial aspect is the place of production. We, Milremo, have our garments produced in Europe only, using fabrics exclusively made in Europe. Therefore, the Milremo products are neither subject to long transportation routes nor to CO2 emission caused by airfreight. Thus, not only by using recycled polyester we contribute to a better ecological carbon footprint.

By using a bike we already do something against greenhouse gas emissions.
